BE FIT PITT INITIATIVE

The BE FIT PITT initiative started with the goal of getting Faculty and Staff at the University of Pittsburgh moving more during the workday. It has evolved into a wide-spread campaign that engages our subscribers into taking an "active" approach with their health and wellness behaviors. 

It is easy to become sedentary during the workday. In fact, PITT Faculty and Staff members recently on average reported sitting 6.7 hours per workday. While we focus on our productivity, we tend to forget about our health. Using a quick prompts and/or video messages, the BE FIT PITT team will remind you to not only take activity breaks but will coach you through the safe steps in executing them. Look for other tips and tricks to build not just moments on wellness, but an active lifestyle.
